[Staggers and falls into their arms.

Ethelbert. Take away the dagger.

Gersa. Softly; so!

Otho. Thank God for that!

Sigifred. It could not harm him now.

Gersa, No!—brief be his anguish!

Ludolph. She’s gone! I am content. Nobles, good night!
