Isa.12
[1] And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine
anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
[2] Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be
afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
[3] Therefore
with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
[4] And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD,
call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
[5]
Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
[6] Cry out and shout,
thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
Isa.13
[1] The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.
[2] Lift ye up a banner upon the high
mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
[3]
I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them
that rejoice in my highness.
[4] The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a
tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of
the battle.
[5] They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons
of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
[6] Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come
as a destruction from the Almighty.
[7] Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall
melt:
[8] And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a
woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
[9] Behold, the
day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall
destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
[10] For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not
give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to
shine.
[11] And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the
arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
[12] I will make a es
behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his
hand is stretched out still.
[13] For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they
seek the LORD of hosts.
[14] Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush,
in one day.
[15] The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the
tail.
[16] For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
[17]
Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and
widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his
anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
[18] For wickedness burneth as the fire: it
shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount
up like the lifting up of smoke.
[19] Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and
the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.
[20] And he shall snatch on the
right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat
every man the flesh of his own arm:
[21] Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together
shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Isa.10
[1] Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;
[2]
To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that
widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
[3] And what will ye do in the day of
visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will
ye leave your glory?
[4] Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under
the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
[5] O Assyrian, the
rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.
[6] I will send him against an hypocritical
nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the
prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
[7] Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his
heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.
[8] For he saith, Are not my
